Zerk is an AI-powered CRM for small sales teams, available at zerkcrm.com. Zerk connects to your Google Workspace account so that meeting transcripts, emails, and calendar events flow into your CRM automatically.
This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Zerk application and to this website, including the waitlist.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we collect your name and email address from your Google account.
CRM data. Information you and your team add to Zerk: leads, contacts, companies, deals, notes, action items, meeting transcripts you upload, and emails or transcripts synced from connected Google accounts (described below).
Waitlist. If you join the waitlist on this website, we collect your email address, first name (optional), and team size (optional). We use it only to contact you about early access — no marketing emails, newsletters, or drip sequences.
Usage data. Basic product analytics (pages visited, features used) to understand how Zerk is used and improve it.
Google API Services and Limited Use
Zerk uses Google APIs to provide its core features. You choose whether to connect your Google account, and you can disconnect at any time. When you connect, Zerk requests the following permissions:

calendar.events | Creates calendar events (with Google Meet links) when you schedule a follow-up meeting from within Zerk. |
meetings.space.readonly | Fetches transcripts of your own Google Meet calls so Zerk can summarize the meeting and draft your follow-up. |
userinfo.email, userinfo.profile | Identifies you when you sign in. |
Zerk's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, with respect to Google user data, Zerk will never:
- use it for advertising, or sell it to data brokers or anyone else;
- use it for any purpose other than providing and improving the user-facing features described above;
- allow humans to read it, except (a) with your explicit consent for a specific message or document, (b) as necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized;
- use it to train or improve generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
AI processing
Zerk uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate meeting summaries, CRM suggestions, and draft follow-up emails from your transcripts and emails.
Data sent to Anthropic's API is used only to generate the response and is not used by Anthropic to train its models, per our API terms. Zerk does not use your data — including any Google user data — to train or improve generalized AI or machine learning models.
Who we share data with
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own purposes. We use a small number of service providers (subprocessors) to run Zerk:
- Supabase (supabase.com) — database, authentication, and storage, hosted on AWS. SOC 2 Type II certified.
- Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI processing of transcripts and emails, as described above.
- Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — application hosting and delivery.
- Google (google.com) — the Google Workspace APIs you choose to connect.
Each provider processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect your Google account in Zerk's settings, or revoke Zerk's access from your Google Account, we delete the stored OAuth tokens immediately and stop all syncing.
To delete your account and all associated data, email support@zerkcrm.com — we complete deletion within 30 days. To be removed from the waitlist, email us and we'll remove your record within 24 hours.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to CRM data is restricted by role-based access controls. Google OAuth tokens are stored server-side only and are never exposed to your browser or to other users.
Your rights and revoking access
You can disconnect Zerk from your Google account at any time, either from Zerk's Settings page or from your Google Account security settings. You can also request a copy of your data, or its deletion, by emailing support@zerkcrm.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email and reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
